Acme Packet’s Net-Net Route Manager Central (RMC) consolidates and automates the management and distribution of up to 2 million routes per Acme Packet session border controller or session routing proxy. It manages routes through an intuitive, easy-to-use, browser-based graphical user interface. This element management application can automatically distribute routing information to all or specific subsets of SBCs and SRPs in the network.
Routes can be imported into Net-Net RMC from deployed systems or using Comma Separated Values (.csv) files. The Net-Net RMC’s GUI with global search and display capabilities simplifies route modification and creation. To enhance troubleshooting and maintenance, Net-Net RMC maintains a history of route changes and system updates and provides roll-back capability.
Net-Net RMC complements Acme Packet’s Net-Net EMS. Net-Net EMS enables service providers to rapidly deploy and easily manage one or multiple Acme Packet network elements. It supports all required configuration, fault, performance and security management functions through an intuitive, easy-to-use, browser-based graphical user interface. Net-Net EMS can also integrate seamlessly into existing and next-generation Operational Support Systems (OSS) through industry-standard northbound interfaces.
The Net-Net RMC is an integral component of Acme Packet’s Open Session Routing (OSR) architecture which features the Net-Net SR or Net-Net SD with centralized routing information in an on-board routing database and/or external best-of-breed routing database products and services from OSR ecosystem members. OSR provides tremendous deployment flexibility and facilitates network evolution from small to large numbers of border points and from PSTN to IP network-focused connectivity.
Net-Net RMC automates route distribution to multiple Net-Net SRs. Net-Net SR in each region routes SIP sessions among MSC within region and between regions to other SRs.
